JOHNNY AND THE REST started out as a sleezy blues rock band, playing the blues with a hint of psychadelic rock and jazz in all the darkest and dirtiest bars in Reykjavik. Only earning a piss-tasting beer and whiskey, these gigs were the practice Johnny needed. Over time, the old blues-licks on that blue lit stage gradually changed into a progressive feedback, a soundwall of the most beautiful melodies and harmonies. In the darkest corner of the sleeziest bar Johnny found a hole into another world of the biggest harmony. And now in 2012, the black, ugly duckling has changed into a white swan, flying high above the clouds of the music scene. The new music from Johnny And The Rest is like a neverland of new music, hidden beneath the ground of the blues rock, a land where everything goes.
